Two auto crime thieves have been arrested and charged in Surrey following the activation of a bait car.

On April 16, Surrey RCMP were notified of a bait car activation in the north end of the city.

Officers observed two males inside the vehicle, driving at different times.

According to RCMP, the two males were seen unloading items from the back of the vehicle.

Both men were arrested and taken into custody.

Joey Falk, 29-years-old, has been charged with one count of theft of motor vehicle, one count of possession of break-in instrument and one count of mischief over $5,000.

Bryan Christopher Becker, 42-years-old, has also been charged with one count of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of possession of a break-in instrument.

RCMP and volunteers have already recovered 17 stolen vehicles in Surrey this year.
