The YMCA of Okanagan’s Healthy Snack Program is getting a big chunk of change thanks to this year’s Smile Cookie Campaign.
Tim Hortons’ annual fundraiser brought in $32,349 in 2018, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the YMCA of Okanagan.

More than 30,000 Tim Hortons customers purchased a smile cookie for $1 during the week long campaign.
Travis, the store manager at a Kelowna Tim Hortons, has personally experienced the supportive network of the UMCA when he was a young single dad and struggling to afford the basics.
“I couldn’t even afford a jug of milk some days and I desperately needed child care in order to maintain work during this very challenging time,” explained Travis.
“Not only did the YMCA provide excellent care of my girls, but they also gave them healthy meals and snacks, for which I am so grateful.”

Since Tim Hortons stores started supporting the Y’s Healthy Snack PRogram in 2013, nearly $200,000 has been raised.
It ensures that hundreds of children who are in Y preschool or out of school care programs will receive the nutritious food or any after-school snacks at all.
