From bold to classic, small amounts to complete feature walls, an added decorative tile in a shower can make the room feel custom, unique and complete.
Decorative tiles are typically more expensive than a larger, field tile.
For a budget-friendly option, use the floor tile on the shower walls and add some decorative details in small amounts. Tile the wall of a niche, or a vertical stripe in a coordinating mosaic.
If budget isn’t an issue and you fall in love with a tile, it may be too much for the whole shower.
To avoid the gorgeous tile being overwhelming and overdone try one wall as a feature. The extra amount of tile can have a stunning impact on the overall room design.
If you really want to be a trendsetter, integrating two or three (or even four!) tiles can give you the “wow” factor you may be looking for.
It takes some extra work for your designer and tile setter, but in the end it will be worth it!
