Kelowna Gymnastix is home to three gymnasts who have qualified to the 2020 BC Winter Games in Fort St. John.

Shiphra Penner, 12, Morgan Clark, 13, and Izabelle Coetzee, 11, have made the team along with one athlete from Synergy Gymnastics (Kelowna) and two Kamloops Gymnastics athletes qualified after competing at the Cobweb Invitational in Kelowna, BC.

Penner, won the Level 8 competition, finishing with first place on floor, second place on uneven bars and balance beam and third place on vault.

Clark finished in second place over all in the Level 8 category after winning the vault, and finishing second on floor exercise.

Izabelle Coetzee won the Level 7 junior category after winning the uneven bars and finishing third on balance beam and floor exercise.

Veronika Yacovelli finished third overall in the Level 7 senior category after winning the balance beam and finishing third on floor exercise.

Raedyn Furneaux also competed in the Level 7 senior category with her highest placing being a fourth on floor exercise.

The three athletes and coach, Jesse Jakins will represent Zone 2 at BC Winter Games in February.
