Today's the day!
It's general voting day across B.C. and that includes right here in the Central Okanagan.
The polls are now open in Kelowna and West Kelowna and you have the next 12 hours to vote before they close at 8 p.m.
Kelowna is voting for a mayor, eight councillors and four school trustees, while West Kelowna will elect a mayor, six councillors and four school trustees today.
There are a 12 voting spots in Kelowna and another four in West Kelowna, which we've listed below for you:
Kelowna locations:
- City Hall, 1435 Water Street
- Capital News Centre, 4105 Gordon Drive
- Dr. Knox Middle School, 121 Drysdale Boulevard
- East Kelowna Hall, 2704 East Kelowna Road
- Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Drive
- Hollywood Education Centre, 1040 Hollywood Road
- Okanagan Mission Hall, 4409 Lakeshore Road
- Orchard Park Mall, Pear Court, 2271 Harvey Avenue (*poll closes at 6.p.m.)
- Parkinson Recreation Centre, 1800 Parkinson Way
- Rutland Senior Secondary, 705 Rutland Road N
- Springvalley Middle School, 350 Ziprick Road
- Watson Road Elementary, 475 Yates Road
West Kelowna locations:
- Westbank Lions Community Centre, 2466 Main Street
- Constable Neil Bruce Middle School, 2010 Daimler Drive
- Mar Jok Elementary School, 2101 McDougall Road
- Glenrosa Middle School, 3565 McIver Road
To be eligible to vote in either city, you must have lived there for 30 days and in B.C. for six months, be at least 18-years-old and be a Canadian citizen.
Bring two pieces of ID that prove your identity and residency when you go to vote today.
