A pair of former Hollywood icons have officially been expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts.

Bill Cosby and Roman Polanski are no longer members of The Academy, as of May 1.
 

“The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Board of Governors met on Tuesday night and has voted to expel actor Bill Cosby and director Roman Polanski from its membership in accordance with the organization’s Standards of Conduct,” said a statement today.

“The Board continues to encourage ethical standards that require members to uphold the Academy’s values of respect for human dignity.”

Cosby was just recently found guilty on three counts of indecent sexual assault and could spend his remaining years in prison.

Polanski was charged with raping an underage girl in 1977 and won the Best Director Oscar for The Pianist in 2003.

The Academy already voted to expel Harvey Weinstein back in October.
