I am a florist and the owner of Powell Floral. I specialize in collaborating with local flower farmers and makers to bring a creative modern approach to floral design. I work mostly on events, workshops and community events. 

Why do you use Instagram?

To share what projects I am working on with my followers. I post things that inspire me, educational info about local seasonal flowers and lifestyle photos of foraging and farming. 

What will people see on your feed?

Mostly women!  Most of my followers tend to be in the 20-late 30’s range. 

Does your page have a specific style?

Well, the tones tend to be moody, and I try to only use only professional photos so that the photos are crisp!

How do you decide on your location for shoots?

It totally depends on the season. But I love lots of colors, and darkness. Love it when the true west coast environment can come through in the photos. 

Biggest Instagram moment?

Its always when I share a photo of myself and share something real I am going through, whether it may be positive or negative. My followers tend to appreciate realness which I LOVE!

Favorite hashtags?

I have sort of stopped with the hash tags lately since the whole weirdness of Instagram banning hashtags and small businesses seem to be impacted the most by this. I think I would like to learn more about this area though.
