I first moved to Kamloops just as I started university in the 90's. I've worked in tech support, the social work field and I am currently working at the Kamloops Art Gallery. My interests are in the arts, outdoors, human rights and the environment, information technology, writing, music and personal health. Phew! That's a lot of interests!

I'm currently making collages, taking belly dance classes and planning to join a choir in the fall, if I can find one that will have me!

Why do you use Instagram?

I use my other social media feeds for keeping myself informed on serious issues that I care about. Instagram, however, is for following and posting about stuff that brings me joy and lifts me up. It's the most personal out of all of my social media accounts.

What will people see on your feed?

Lots of outdoor shots, lots of art, lots of colour and light, and some posts about my process of improving my health and fitness. Hey – successes in health bring me joy too!

Does your page have a specific style?

Looking back over my feed, I think so. Color and light are important in most of my favourite shots. I never really concentrated on a specific style otherwise. Whenever I find something that I want to share on my account, I just snap a pic and post it.

How do you decide on your location for shoots?

My decisions are pretty spontaneous. A lot of the moments I encounter are quite fleeting so I can't take a lot of time to get it just right. I just snap a few pictures, and if I like them I will post them, with a little story. Sometimes I will definitely know ahead of time what I want to do and plan out a shot beforehand.

Biggest Instagram moment?

Surprisingly, it was when I reached one of my biggest health goals, which was great. I've gotten tremendous support over the past while in regards to reaching fitness and health goals.
