  • PHOTOS: Summer solstice sunset lights up the Okanagan sky

    It was a gorgeous weekend in the Okanagan, which was capped off with the summer solstice on Sunday night.

    It was the longest day of the year, with the summer solstice officially happening at 8:31 pm.

    Shortly after that, Mother Nature treated the Okanagan to a gorgeous sunset, maybe her way of saying that summer has truly arrived.

    From Vernon to Penticton and everywhere in between, the sky was painted a beautiful hue of orange, pink and yellow.

    Unsurprisingly, people took to social media to share their snaps of the spectacle and you definitely didn’t need any filters for this one.
