Stalled vehicles causing major delays on Hwy 1 through the Fraser Canyon

Traffic on Highway 1 through the Fraser Canyon is seeing heavy delays in both directions.

DriveBC is advising motorists that there are multiple stalled vehicles being towed away north of Boston Bar.

Traffic is moving, however, “major” delays should be expected as the vehicles are cleared out of the way.

A picture shared to the Coquihalla Road Reports Facebook group shows a long line of traffic, which is seemingly at a stand still.

Motorists are advised to drive to the current conditions.

There is also a yellow snowfall warning in place for the Fraser Canyon, Coquihalla and South Thompson, including the Lytton area.

Between 10 and 15 centimeters of snow is expected on Wednesday.

Environment Canada says road closure are possible.

There are similar conditions expected on the Coquihalla.
