    Special weather statement in effect due to increasing temperatures

    A special weather statement is currently in effect for Prince George due to seasonably warm weather. 

    According to Environment Canada, sunny and hot weather will persist through Wednesday as a strong ridge of high pressure lingers over the province. Temperatures could reach 30 today and tomorrow.

    Environment Canada expects some cooling to occur by Thursday as the ridge of high pressure begins to break down.

    In order to ensure everyone's safety, WorkSafeBC has sent out a warning to employers and outdoor workers of the dangers of spending a long time outside.
