Kelowna is going to kick off the week with some snow.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Central Okanagan that calls for a decent amount of snow on Monday.

"An approaching Pacific warm front will give heavy snowfall beginning Monday morning," says the alert.

"Heavy snow will prevail over the Similkameen beginning Monday morning then spread further north into the Central and North Okanagan regions during the day."

Only two to four centimetres are expected during the day, but Environment Canada calls for another 10 cm to fall on Monday night as the snow intensifies.

While that amount won't cause too much trouble in town, mountain passes like the Coquihalla, Connector and Hwy 3 could see up to a foot of snow on Monday, making travel difficult.
