A snowfall warning has been issued for Highway 3 through the Similkameen as up to 25 cm of snow is expected.
Environment Canada issued the warning Monday morning as a pacific frontal system will bring heavy snow to the area. Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton, via the Allison Pass, will see 15 to 25 cm of snow Monday and into Tuesday morning.

A snowfall warning is also in effect for Highway 3 from the Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass as the same system makes its way east. So far, 16 cm of snow has been reported at Kootenay Pass and an additional five to 10 cm is expected. Motorists can expect visibility to be suddenly reduced at times.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
