The small 1-hectare wildfire, fortunately, ignited between the road and lake sticking the fire between two natural fireguards reported Marla Catherall, Fire Information Officer with the Kamloops Fire Centre.
The favourable position between the road and the lake is aiding the two initial BC Wildfire attack crews on site in subduing the wildfire.
NowMedia will report additional information about the fire as it becomes available.
