A 51-year-old man was arrested by the RCMP after conducting a search of his residence.

RCMP Investigators, with assistance from the North District Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on the 1100 block of Chilako Ave. shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday morning.

The man remains in custody and is facing drug trafficking and weapon-related charges in an ongoing investigation.

“Prince George RCMP continues efforts to target drug traffickers and reduce crime related to the illicit sale of street-level drugs in our community,” says Staff Sgt. Steve McLeod.

“Crime reduction strategies related to drug trafficking, including property crime and auto theft, continue to be key components of the detachments strategic priorities.”
