Lots of you have taken to social media to share your bear pictures with the community.
These gigantic beauties may be fun to look at, but they can be dangerous if you do not take the proper precautions.
According to Conservation Officer Craig McCulloch, there have been a number of calls regarding bear sightings. McCulloch claims that this is normal for this time of year.
As the weather warms up and the bears finish hibernating, they will often follow natural food paths which can lead them to parks and trails.
McCulloch assured us that they are nothing to worry about and can often be scared away by making loud noises.
“As long as you make a lot of noise and they know you are there they likely will have nothing to do with you,” said McCulloch.
“Make sure you travel in groups, keep pets on a leash and wear bear bells if you are in a remote area.”

As the summer progresses it is more likely that bears will end up inside the city.
“When resources dry up that is when bear behavior becomes a little more adventurous and they can wander into town,” says McCulloch.
