A lot of Okanagan residents and tourists were already looking skyward on Tuesday night to inspect a large plume of smoke rising to the south.
Others were trying to get a glimpse of a much smaller bit of smoke being produced by a new spot fire north of West Kelowna.
But if that didn’t catch people’s attention, the gorgeous sunset certainly did.
The sky turned all different shades of pink, orange and bright red, which reflected beautifully off Okanagan Lake.
As is often the case when Mother Nature puts on a show like this, people flocked to the beach and other viewpoints to capture the moment with their cameras.
