    PG to receive $28,000 for community art projects

    The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has given out a number of grants for arts, culture and heritage projects within the region.

    Funding has come from the Arts, Culture and Heritage Grants program supported by the Regional Districts Cultural Endowment Fund.

    Altogether, $28,000 has been approved for the following grants:

    • $3,000 for the Community Arts Council for a one-day symposium for Indigenous artists
    • $5,000 to the Fraser-Fort George Museum Society (Exploration Place) for a Community Science Celebration
    • $5,000 to the Prince George Downtown Business Improvement Association for its Winterfest event
    • $5,000 to the Prince George Symphony for special performance of “St. Roch Suite”
    • $5,000 to the Prince George Regional Art Gallery Association (Two Rivers Gallery) for its Mini Maker Faire
    • $5,000 to Wishbone Theatre Productions for lighting and sound equipment
