The Kelowna Art Gallery has introduced a new mind-bending exhibit to bring a wave of excitement and uncertainty into your day.
Johann Wessels, an artist based out of Penticton, introduced his collection of pieces to the Kelowna public on April 7, aptly named Immaculate Deception.
The collection features an array of art intended to corrupt your vision and distort your perception in an exploration of how art can trick the mind.

Using wood, rock and assorted relics, Wessel’s collection repurposes Western art symbols in innovative new ways to question their social and cultural value.
Essentially, Wessels is questioning how you identify world around you, by distorting it – he’s looking to really twist your mind.
Immaculate Deception is on display through July 8, 2018 in the Reynold’s gallery space at the Kelowna Art Gallery.
