On December 10th, local RCMP officers, volunteers and detachment staff all volunteered their time for the Pack-a-PC event to help feed seniors this holiday season.
For six hours, Prince George RCMP were stationed at three local Save-On-Foods and asked people to Pack-a-PC with non-perishable items.

Today, representatives from the Prince George RCMP and students form the John Mclnnes Centre delivered a van full of the donated food items to the Prince George Council of Seniors.
“The people of Prince George have once again stepped up and made a huge contribution to seniors in need this holiday season” says Bev Livingstone, City of Prince George municipal employee that organized the event. “We never imagined that we would surpass last year’s donations, but we did.”
Over 22 police cars were filled. Cash and gift card donations topped $4,000, which exceeds last year’s $3,600.
The RCMP would like to thank all those who participated in the event.
