UPDATE: Northbound lanes partially reopen on the Coquihalla

(UPDATE: Nov. 14 @ 8:02 am) – Drive BC says the left northbound lane of the Coquihalla is now open to traffic.

The northbound lanes were impacted after a semi-truck crashed.

Vehicle recovery is ongoing and drivers should expect minor delays.

DriveBC reminds motorists to keep an eye out for traffic control.

(Original story: Nov. 14 @ 6:23 am) – All northbound traffic on the Coquihalla is slow going on the Coquihalla Friday morning.

DriveBC says all northbound lanes about three kilometres south of the Coquihalla Summit are blocked due to a vehicle recovery at Zopkios Rest Area.

Pictures shared by DriveBC show a semi-truck on its side in the middle of the highway.

“Traffic is able to bypass on the adjacent side-road,” the update said.

The vehicle incident was first reported shortly before 1:30 am.

DriveBC said recovery crews are on site and an update can be expected around 9 am.

This story will be updated when more information is made available.
