    The Outdoor Ice Oval opens this weekend

    The Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval is set to open on Saturday.

    Over the past week, ice-making crews have been working hard to provide Prince George with the much anticipated skating rink.

    The fluctuating weather caused some difficulties but that has not stopped volunteers from flooding the oval.

    The Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval is a 400-metre skating rink made with natural ice.

    The oval is located behind the CN Centre and is ideal for recreational skating and long-track speed skating.

    Day passes are required.
