Last weekend, the Okanagan T2 Volleyball Club's U15 Crew 1 girls went to Vancouver to compete in the Provincial Championships seeded third overall in the top tier in the Province.
On Friday, in their pool play, the girls managed to win two matches and lose one to the eventual provincial champion BCO Black.

Due to not winning their pool they had to play a cross over and handily beat the top team from Volleytech in Penticton.
On Saturday, playoffs began and the Crew 1 girls had to take on the top team from another pool.
With all players firing, they were able to dispatch Thunder White from Vancouver.
Next up in the semifinal, they faced the top seed Ducks Brian Elite.

Taking the first set in a tight affair, the T2 girls couldn’t sustain the high level and fell in three sets to the eventual silver medalists.
T2 was one of only two teams to take sets off of the Ducks team all season.
Then in the Bronze medal game, the T2 girls took on Thunder Blue who had beaten the second seed West Kelowna Thunder in their quarter final.
T2 Crew U15 outclassed Thunder Blue and beat them 25-18 and 25-12 to bring home a well-deserved bronze medal.

After receiving their bronze medals middle blocker Steffi Drasdo was awarded a tournament all-star honour for her 25 kills, five blocks and steady passing.
Other notable performances had Madison Hicks with 21 kills and five blocks.
Madison Boerner’s digs and passing really anchored the defense.
Bella Filipenko chipped in with 19 kills and nine aces while setters Aspen Appelt and Shea Berisoff distributed the ball very well. Both setters also contributed as offensive weapons with Appelt finishing with five kills and seven aces and Berisoff with 14 kills and seven aces along with four blocks.
Coaches Rob Steciuk and Paul Berisoff noted how proud of these girls they are and how much progress they have all made this season as players and teammates.
