A new McDonald’s is set to open in Kelowna in October.

You may have already seen the building if you drive along Hwy 97 often, as it’s located on the corner of Hwy 97 and Old Vernon Road.

The official opening date for the public is Friday, Oct. 19.

For travellers along Hwy 97, it’s another options for a quick and easy meal, drink or snack on the way in or out of Kelowna.

Once it opens, it’ll be the sixth McDonald’s servicing the Kelowna area with others in Glenmore, Rutland, the Mission, inside Walmart and along Hwy 97 near Orchard Park Centre.

There’s also a pair of McDonald’s in West Kelowna and one in Lake Country, for a total of nine in the Central Okanagan.
