RCMP officers were called out to a provincial park in Peachland for a rescue operation on Monday.
It wasn’t a person that needed rescuing, but rather an animal.
A woman was walking with her dog shortly after 2 pm when the pooch ran over an embankment and got stuck on a ledge.
She tried unsuccessfully to retrieve the dog and made a number of calls to other resources before finally deciding to dial 911.
“West Kelowna frontline officers attended and safely extracted the dog from the mountainside ledge,” said Cst. Solana Paré.
“The owner and dog were both very happy to be reunited with the assistance of the responding officers.”
You couldn't have asked for a happier ending right before Christmas!
