“A raccoon has delayed my flight to Toronto.”

That was the first of a fantastic chain of tweets from Damien Lee, who was stranded in an Air Canada Plane on the tarmac of Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport.

Lee live-tweeted the whole four hour ideal that has to be funniest for those reading it online than people like Lee who were stuck on the plane.

“Current efforts seem to be focused on the right wing,” reads one of his tweets. “Crews pulling panels off.”

He continues to tweet as more panels of the plane come off, reporting that even the captains had exited the plane and were assessing the situation.

Eventually, passengers on the plane are given meal vouchers as a apology of sorts, but there remains no end in sight to the raccoon issue.

“Hi @AirCanada – Raccoon is still in plane. We’ve been waiting 3 hrs now (length of AC1126’s flight from YXE to YYZ). It’s probably time to rebook,” Lee tweets at the airline.

Air Canada representatives responded to his tweet, apologizing for the delay and confirming what Lee already knew, that crews were working on the issue.

The ordeal even continues for another hour after that and passengers are given a second meal voucher, before finally the raccoon makes his escape.

“Raccoon is out of the plane (and running across field now),” tweets Lee. “Alive and well.”
