Meet Camille Eldon, Your Go-To for Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

This article is sponsored by Affinity Family Wellness.

In a world where specialized care can make all the difference, Camille Eldon is a new addition to the team at Affinity Wellness, offering a service that few in Kelowna can match. As a trained physiotherapist with a focus on pelvic floor health, Camille brings an exceptional skill set to the clinic.

A proud local of Kelowna, Camille’s journey to becoming a pelvic floor physiotherapist began at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, where she earned her Bachelor of Human Kinetics. She then pursued her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Vancouver. Outside of the clinic, Camille enjoys hiking, reading, and unwinding by watching sunsets, but it's her work with patients that truly sets her apart.

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a highly specialized field, and Camille’s approach is tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs. “The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissue that supports key organs, like the bladder, uterus, and rectum,” Camille explains. “Whether you’re dealing with urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, or irritable bowel syndrome, pelvic floor physiotherapy can provide the relief you need.”

She emphasizes that early intervention is key, especially for individuals who are prenatal, postpartum, or dealing with conditions related to their pelvic health. During an initial assessment, Camille conducts a comprehensive evaluation that looks at everything from how you move and breathe to your low back and hip mobility. “The pelvic floor is closely tied to your breath, so we focus on how those two elements are interconnected,” she adds.

The assessment process involves both external and, with informed consent, internal evaluations, which can include vaginal or rectal exams. Camille ensures that her patients feel comfortable and educated every step of the way. “I’ll walk you through the process, explain pelvic anatomy, and ensure that you understand why you're experiencing symptoms,” she says. “It’s never too early to start training your pelvic floor, especially for those on a pregnancy journey.”

Her expertise extends to a variety of conditions, including period pain, pelvic girdle pain, and even conditions like endometriosis and prolapse. What makes Camille’s approach unique is her focus on empowering patients with education and exercise. Many individuals come to her with concerns about urinary incontinence or leakage, and Camille is able to provide helpful strategies to regain control and improve quality of life.

The team at Affinity Wellness is another reason Camille feels so at home. With a range of healthcare professionals—including massage therapists, chiropractors, and kinesiologists—working under one roof, patients benefit from seamless referrals and a holistic approach to their health and wellness. “I’m so fortunate to be part of this team. If I need assistance, I can easily reach out to others in the clinic,” Camille shares.

Looking forward, Camille is excited to continue her work at Affinity Wellness, and patients can book with her starting January 2nd. You can find her profile on the Affinity Wellness website.

At Affinity Wellness, Camille is helping clients reclaim their confidence and health, making her a valuable addition to a clinic dedicated to whole-body care.
