A Victoria man remains in custody following a sexual assault allegation.
Yesterday around 1 p.m., officers were called to a B.C. Transit bus located at the intersection of Douglas Street and Burnside Road to address a sexual assault involving a woman.
When officers arrived they located the suspect and took the male into custody.
According to the woman, she had told the man to stop and then reported him to the B.C. Transit operator. The operator then stopped the bus and called the police.
Others on the bus also called the police and remained on scene.
The woman was not physically injured.
According to police, the man has been held for court and the file remains under investigation.
