Is your dogs favourite treat their own poop?
Delicious.
Surprisingly, this is a fairly normal and common behaviour, it’s not one you want to continue.
Besides cleaning up regularly, how do you stop your dog from this gnarly habit?
Hot sauce!
Yes, really.
This simple trick should curb the chowing down on waste in your yard.
You could also try sour spray from the pet store meant to keep puppies from chewing.
There are a few reasons your dog could be doing this, and one of them is a lack of proper nutrients in their diet!
So double check what’s in their food, and you could try adding in vitamin supplements.
You should consult your vet if it’s becoming an issue.
Get back to those sweet puppy kisses!

How annoying is it to get home to a freshly dug hole and a dirty dog?
Very.
Burying their own poop in the hole is one of the best things I ever learned.
I cannot remember who taught me that trick, but I have yet to meet a dog that’ll keep digging up their holes full of doggy doo-doo.
That’s not a one and done fix, you’ll have to keep doing it alongside some extra training. Often dogs dig because they are bored, so if you have an active digger there are a couple good options.
Firstly, exercise them longer, or add a backpack to your walks for a little extra work.
You can also add things like puzzle games and other brain busters into their toy collection.
A second option would be to designate an area for your dog to dig – think doggo sandbox. You’ll have to train your dog where it is acceptable to dig and where it isn’t if you use this method.
Encourage digging where you choose, praise them for digging in that zone and bury treats and toys for them to find.
Either way, bust the boredom in whatever way works for you!

Spring is, hopefully, coming!
With that comes the inevitable spring blowout. Pet hair everywhere!
Textured rubber gloves and car squeegees are two of your best friends when it comes to this battle.
Squeegee your carpets before you vacuum and be amazed at what you get out of them.
I use rubber gloves to scrub the dogs down in the yard and to clean their beds off.

My favourite tool to combat the fur came from Wal-Mart and cost me a whopping $17 – the Fur Fetcher by Hartz is my miracle brush and doesn’t break the bank.
With these in your arsenal, the battle on shedding is won.
