Over the weekend 20 athletes representing Lake Country Gymnastics attended the Ogopogo Invitational held in West Kelowna.

The athletes showed confidence and poise while performing in the Interclub and Junior Olympic (JO) categories.

In the JO 3 Senior 2 category, Peyton Manziuk received silver medals on vault, balance beam, floor and All Around.

Jakaya Rohatensky finished first place on vault with a high score of 9.825 and fifth All Around.

Katie Misfeldt's best finish was second place on the balance beam and Alexis Burata finished fifth on the same event.

Makayla Krenzel, Kyra Ohashi and McKenzie Schmidt represented LCG in the JO 3 Senior 1 category.

Krenzel placed first on the balance beam and third place on the floor, and All Around.

Ohashi's best finish was fifth place on the balance beam and the floor.

Schmidt earned a score of 9.1 on the floor and took home the gold medal.

In the JO 3 Novice category, Charlotte Lamb finished with a gold medal on vault and second place on balance beam, floor and All Around.

Elena Eikenaar had a consistent performance placing third place on vault, bars, balance beam and All Around.

In the Performance Challenge category, Kylie McCormick earned a special award for her floor routine, receiving gold for her performance.

Lake Country Gymnastics had a strong team of girls compete in the Performance Plus Category consisting of: Ashlynn Ohashi, Paige Melnick, Lauren Munro, Jacqueline Munro, Raphaelle Roy-Bois, Sienna Silzer, Savanah Bot, Kaisey Sholdice, Katie Murphy and Erikka Houlind.

In the Performance category Elia Rohatensky, Maria Colero and Rylie Mackill wowed the crowd with their routines.
