KWIC was represented by five swimmers at the 2019 Swimming Canada Canadian Trials held in Toronto from April 3-7. 

Patrick Waters, Para Swimmer, won a bronze medal in 100 breast which qualified him for the 2019 Parapan American Games and he will be representing Canada in Lima, Peru.

The Pan Am games will run from July 26 to Aug. 11 and will bring together approximately 6,700 athletes from 41 nations of the Americas, featuring 62 disciplines in 39 sports.

It will be the largest sporting event ever held in Peru.

Axana Merckx made finals in both the 200 and 400 IM placing 15th in the 200 IM and 17th in the 400 IM.  

Erin Epp made finals in the 50-breast coming in 20th.

Next meet for KWIC will be this weekend in Edmonton from April 11-14 for the Swimming Canada’s Western Canadian Championships. 

There will be 17 swimmers participating: Cameron Chambers, Meagan Corrigan, Flyn Huber, Erin Epp, Kelsey Fillion, Molly Hill, Abigail Jerome, Andrea Kraetzer, Alexanne Lepage, Axana Merckx, Ryan Murphy, Paul Neupert, Georgia Pengilly, Daniil Savelev, Taylor Smith, Ava Toyata and Marc Toyata.
