Kevin Spacey has responded to sexual assault allegations in a fairly surprising way.
Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp revealed to Buzzfeed News that in 1986, the then 26-year-old Spacey made sexual advances on Rapp, who was 14 at the time, at a party.

The article was posted on Sunday night and Spacey quickly made a statement about it through his social media.
“I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago,” Spacey’s statement read. “But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour.”
Spacey’s statement didn’t stop at just an apology, however, as he used it as an opportunity to address his own sexuality.
“As those closest to me know, in my life I have had relationships with both men and women,” he said. “I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man.”
The House of Cards star said he wants to deal with the allegations and his sexuality “honestly and openly,” which starts with him examining his own behaviour.
