  • Kelowna weather: Transition to colder temps begins tonight

It’s certainly been a mild winter so far, but some colder temperatures are on the way before the end of 2025.

That transition will begin tonight but we have another wet day to navigate first.

Environment Canada says there will be a chance of rain or flurries throughout the day with a high of 2°C, although windy conditions throughout the day will make it feel a bit colder.

That precipitation will likely fall as snow in the hills, but it’s expected to stop this evening before the temperature starts to dip on the valley floor.

It will get down to -6°C under partly cloudy skies overnight and the wind chill will make it feel closer to -15°C.

Sunshine is on tap for the weekend with both daytime highs and overnight lows well into the negatives.
