It’s certainly not the white Christmas people have been hoping for.
Unsurprisingly, Kelowna is blanketed with cloud cover to start the day as it hovers around the freezing mark.

Precipitation will begin early this afternoon, but Environment Canada says it will be “periods of snow mixed with rain” as the temperature gets up to a high of 2°C.
Those conditions will persist all the way through until early on Boxing Day, with the chance of snow over rain increasing slightly as it drops back down to freezing overnight.
Colder temperatures are on the way over the coming days and we’ll see if we get any kind of meaningful snowfall on the valley floor before 2025 wraps up.
