Give yourself a few extra minutes to get to school or work this morning.
Kelowna is waking up to a few centimetres of snow, which means you’ll have to brush off the car if you’re not parked under cover.
It also means the roads are slippery and a slow, cautious commute is advised.
There’s a chance at a few more flurries this morning, but they’re not expected to last too long.
“Overnight snow will change to mixed precipitation and taper off today as freezing levels are on the rise,” said Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist.
“Signs point to warmer and brighter conditions returning by the weekend. Expect daytime highs to be near or above freezing over the next several days!”
The sun is indeed in the forecast for the weekend and the high from Saturday through Wednesday is expected to be 3°C, 5°C, 6°C, 8°C and 10°C.
So hang in there, Kelowna, spring looks like it’s finally on the way!
