(UPDATE: 9:45 p.m.) – With 20 of 21 polling stations reported, here are the near final results of Kelowna's 2018 civic election:
- Colin Basran 16,904 (56.53%)
- Tom Dyas 9,002 (30.10%)
- Bobby Kennedy 2,558 (8.55%)
- Bob Schewe 1,440 (4.82%)
(Original story: 9:30 p.m.) – The votes are in and Kelowna has spoken.
Residents have voted in Colin Basran as the city’s mayor for a second term.

The 40-year-old will serve as the leader of Kelowna for the next four years after defeating Tom Dyas, Bobby Kennedy and Bob Schewe in today’s election.
With 18 of 21 polling stations reported, KelownaNow has declared Basran as the re-elected mayor of Kelowna.
So far, he's received 16,159 of a possible 28,658 votes, giving him a comfortable victory over his three opponents.
Here are the tallies for all four mayoral candidates so far (results are unofficial):
- Colin Basran 16,159 (56.95%)
- Tom Dyas 8,508 (29.98%)
- Bobby Kennedy 2,371 (8.36%)
- Bob Schewe 1,337 (4.71%)
Basran will be joined at city hall by most of the councillors he served the last four years with, as all seven of the incumbent councillors who were running were re-elected.
