PODCAST: Kelowna expected to add 50,000 people in the next 20 years

For this episode, Sara Gouda and Jim Csek sit down with Loyal Wooldridge, a City of Kelowna councillor and Regional District of Central Okanagan’s new board chair.

The episode covers the city’s latest issues and projects, from transportation, rentals, population growth, economic growth and the much-anticipated Official Community Plan (OCP).

“The OCP is how we grow and how we anticipate to fit 50,000 more people into our region, Kelowna specifically over the next 20 years,” Wooldridge explained.

Wooldridge also shared information about some projects to look forward to in 2022 – from the redevelopment of the Parkinson Recreation Centre to the construction of more parks and open spaces.

Also available for listening on Spotify, Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts.
