Joe Rich Fire Rescue’s fall recruitment drive has begun.

From now until the end of November, the fire department is accepting applications from those looking to become members.

Prospective members must live within eight kilometres of Station 51 (11481 Hwy 33) or Station 52 (6550 Goudie Rd.).

You also have to be between the ages of 19 and 65 and be in good physical condition.

If you’re interested in being a paid-on-call firefighter with JRFR, you’re asked to call 250-469-6179 and leave your name, phone number and email address.

Potential recruits will be contacted regarding the next intake and information evening.

Candidates will be interviewed and physically tested this fall and training will be provided for successful applicants during the department’s regular evening or weekend sessions.
