Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My son Carter because he is amazing, energetic & full of life.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Maui because I need some sunshine in my life.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
That’s a toss up there are so many great local stores but we spend a lot of time & money in Lizzie bits. Jenn has created such a lovely atmosphere with her knowledgeable, friendly staff and awesome selection and activities. We literally spend a few hours a month there. She has such amazing idea’s and has created a great one-stop shop
What is your favourite activity?
Eating! I love food but I also love how food brings people together. Great food = Great conversation.
If you had to choose: pizza, tacos, or burgers?
I can’t choose…I love them all!
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Hmmm…that time I got rescued by the fire department and the newspaper made it the front page news with pictures……I have definitely never lived that down.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Becoming a mother!
Tell us your favourite childhood memory?
Summers with my Grandparents.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I have sat on the Kamloops Hospice committee in the past, I currently sit on the RMHC Committee and am a regional representative for the RMHC Gala in Vancouver. I have helped organize & attend the Toys for Kids breakfast, Basics for Babies, The Burn Fund Diamond Dinner & countless other local events. I also volunteer for McHappy day every year.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I’d love to see more empathy. I think if people were more empathetic we’d see less judgement and more support.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Anything outdoors we are surrounded by so much beauty. The best hiking, biking trails, 100’s of lakes within an hour or less.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
Kenna Cartwright Trails.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
I’d like to see the plans for downtown completed asap, so we can create the right atmosphere so people will start spending more time at our local businesses & restaurants.
What do you think makes Kamloops great?
There are a lot of things that make Kamloops great, but one thing I love the most about Kamloops is the people. We’re an inviting city and we have a great amount of community support for local charities and fundraisers, we’re a very giving city.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1.To not have any regrets at the end of my story
2. To be around long enough to watch my baby grow
3. To leave a legacy behind

I am a twin.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Arbonne
Why did you get into/start this business?
I returned to work this January and realized my goals & priorities have shifted. I love my career with the National Hospitality Group but I want more time to enjoy my son.
What is the goal of your business?
To share great vegan, botanically based products with people & spend more time on the things I enjoy. Stressless financially & focus on having fun.
What has been your biggest struggle either in work or life?
Overthinking things.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I wouldn’t change a thing, I believe everything happens for a reason. I am where I am because that’s where I’m supposed to be.
What do you always find yourself saying?
It is what it is.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
There’s too many to choose from… someone funny though like Jimmy Fallon or Ellen Degeneres, you’d spend the whole day laughing!!
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Shopping locally is so important for so many reasons. It helps boost our local economy, it creates a local character, community support & well being.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Creating an amazing tiny human!

Adrianne Erlandson!! She has been faced with some serious adversity in the past few months and handled it with such poise and positivity. She has taken her son’s recent diagnosis of type 1 diabetes and created awareness and a super inspirational following on her journey. I just think she is amazing!
