Natalie Dollman.
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
Born and Raised! I grew up in Westsyde. I will always be a Westsyde girl at heart. Us Westsyders stick together.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My kiddos. There is never a dull day with those two, and of course my husband because he will be reading this.
What do you always find yourself saying?
'Why is this sticky?', 'Eat your supper.' and 'Is it bed time yet?'
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
I'd say my kids. I'm lucky my business allows me to work from home for the most part so I get to spend the most of my days with them. So instead I'd probably have to say myself. How often do we all just take the time to unplug and be as one?
Who or what inspires you?
My kids. 100%, I find as adults we can often forget to be kind, be honest, and be silly. Kids have the ability to be all those things and often as adults we sometimes loose that ability. Kids can do it without thinking and I admire that.
What are three things on your bucket list?
In no particular order…
1. Go to Bora Bora and stay in a over water hut.
2. Visit Scotland.
3. Own an acre or two with a cute farm house with a wrap around deck, porch swing and a pet goat to eat the grass.
Please tell us about a defining moment in your life.
When my first son was born and I became a mom. I instantly saw the world differently.
What are you passionate about?
Life. Life is unpredictable, tough, crazy, challenging. That is what makes it great. Life teaches you to go with the flow if something doesn't go as planned. To not back down if something is tough. To laugh when it is crazy. And to have strength to stand up when it is challenging. Oh, I'm also passionate about sleep.
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
Easy. When I get to have a shower, warm coffee, pee in peace, and have a nap. Actually, never mind that was a dream. Mom Life. Was I supposed to say when my kids were born? That is just a given.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Beating the final level in Super Mario Brothers when I was kid with zero help from my three older brothers.
Where is your favourite place to dine in your city?
Scoopz Ice Cream Parlour. You can have ice cream for dinner, can't you?
What is your favourite activity or event in your city?
I love to snowboard. I'm just itching to get my kids on the hill.

What does your business/organization do?
I am wedding and lifestyle photographer. I love to capture life. I love photographing raw moments and real people. I crave the candid. To be able to freeze moments in time so families and couples can be reminded of that moment and how they felt.

Real people. Raw moments. Candid childhood.
What makes you feel successful?
Tell us about it. When people continue to support myself and my passion for photography. It makes my heart happy. High fives to everyone!
If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
Wait…trapped in a elevator? That is one of my fears. I'd probably take the stairs.
If I could change one thing about the city you live in, it would be?
Without starting a debate. I would put a bridge from Westsyde to Rayleigh.
What do you think makes your city great?
The local business owners. Their community support and their drive to see growth in this city.
Some general comments I would like to share are:
Often with a business regardless the size there is help along the way. Help from people that want to see you succeed and support what you do. These people are generally behind the scenes. They don’t ask for thank you’s and they don’t question the need for their help.In my case a lot of these people are my family and friends. They help in way I don’t even think they’re aware of. Whether it is from the word of mouth from a complete stranger or a friend lending a hand, to the grandparents who will drop everything to watch my kiddos on weekdays. Thank you! I wouldn’t be able to do nearly half of what I do without these people.
To my husband, thank you for listening to the dreams I have. Thank you for eating leftovers when my day was too full to make something new, and thank you for letting me just do; do what I love.
