Favorite people are my kids and my husband!
What is your favourite local store in Prince George and why?
Either Theory Hardware or Dandy Lines!
Describe yourself in one word.
Passionate.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Back to Europe. Either Paris or Vienna. I would love to experience Europe again but this time with my family. I adore the culture and the feel of both those cities. And have my camera this time and would be able to take some amazing photographs.
What is your favourite activity in Prince George?
Going for hikes/walks with my family and/or friends.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I was attempting to flip a Glossette raisin into my mouth that was in my hand. I forgot I also had a business card in my hand and poked myself in the eye after flipping the raisin into my mouth. Needless to say, I am glad there was only witness haha.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
We used to go camping every summer for two weeks as a family to the Shuswap. Those weeks at the lake are golden, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I don't think I can pick a specific memory. But boating on the lake, sleeping in a tent with the rain falling softly on it, swimming in the warm water, or cliff jumping! There are too many to count!
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Fourthwest Photography was able to donate 40% of the proceeds of the Christmas Mini Sessions to the Elves for Elders campaign here in Prince George. I am very proud to help out with such an amazing campaign that runs during Christmas time to help the seniors in our community. I will definitely be doing this again this year, and am hoping to beat the amount raised from last year!
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
For people to be kind. I think kindness would change so many issues that we have today in the world. If everyone could just start with ONE act of kindness a day, and go from there, we would see an amazing change.
Where would you sneak away to in Prince George to spend some time alone?
Ritual Coffee. It is a quiet little coffee shop that has such a great atmosphere.
What do you think makes Prince George great?
Prince George is great because it offers SO much for young families. From Playgrounds Cafe, to Exploration Place, the Library, and so much more…
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Hawaii – probably will be ticking this off next year for our ten year wedding anniversary!
Travelling Europe with again with my family.
Being able to surprise my children with a trip to Disneyland when they are bigger.
Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I used to be fluent in both Japanese and French.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Fourthwest photography.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I got my first full frame camera when my daughter was six months old. I wanted to start capturing their childhood in a very real and documentary way.
What is the goal of your business?
To capture my clients in the most genuine and authentic way possible.
What has been your biggest struggle either in work or life?
Finding the balance as a stay at home mom and work at home mom. Having my schedule revolve around my husband as we do not have childcare or family here in town.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Definitely the same!

Tell us your best piece of life advice
Pick your battles and be kind. It applies to marriage, raising children, friendship, everything.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Such an interesting question. Jerry Seinfeld maybe? He would be such an interesting and hilarious person to sit down with and just talk to.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
It supports small business like myself, who are hustling hard and providing for their families. The money isn't going toward some big corporation. If that small business has a family, they might be able to put their child in sports, arts, etc.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
By far, becoming a mother to my two children.
