Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
The obvious answer – my husband. Not only is he the most wonderful husband, he is also my best friend. He's one of my biggest supporters and he just genuinely has the greatest heart.
What is your favourite local store in Prince George and why?
I really don't think I can choose just one! We have so many amazing local stores in Prince George that always make me happy to visit!
Describe yourself in one word.
Passionate.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
The Bahamas. They have an island where you can swim and feed wild pigs. I really love pigs.
What is your favourite activity in Prince George?
I have two dogs who I love taking for walks when I can! Prince George has so many amazing places to explore outdoors. There's nothing better than watching my dogs run wild on some trails! Also, all the new local breweries…need I say more?
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I honestly can't think of anything that makes me cringe! I can be an awkward person sometimes, so I'm sure I do something once a day that makes me blush!
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Meeting all of the local entrepreneurs in this town, seeing them making waves. It's what keeps me going and striving to be my best.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Watching old X-Men Cartoons with my sister while eating Pillsbury cinnamon buns. We always fought over who got the middle cinnamon bun because it always had the most icing on it.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I do my absolute best to shop completely local! I also regularly donate goods to the SPCA and Humane Society.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I think it's something everyone would probably change… authenticity. I wish everyone could truly experience love for others and love for themselves. That people could agree to disagree and see everyone's glass as half full. Life is too short to spend it being unhappy.
Where would you sneak away to in Prince George to spend some time alone?
Wilkins Park early in the morning is pretty peaceful!
Where would you like to see positive change in Prince George and why?
Downtown Prince George – it's making so many positive changes and is becoming a place that people are enjoying spending time at!
What do you think makes Prince George great?
It's a growing city that has a lot to offer. Prince George has so many local thriving businesses which is so amazing to see! There are so many outdoor activities, summer or winter! The people are Prince George are so amazing!
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
I am not a daredevil by any means, so there definitely won't be skydiving or bungee jumping in here at all!
1. Own a pet pig (I seriously love animals so much)
2. Go somewhere tropical (Either the Bahamas or Bora Bora! Especially so I can pet the pigs)
3. Help the elephants. Also, pet one, I'd be so happy to pet one.
Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I am a massive animal lover (if you didn't already notice…), but I am deathly terrified of snakes.

Polished Chaos Beauty.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I have a passion for everything beauty and making people feel great about themselves!
What is the goal of your business?
My goal is to help women feel confident and beautiful! I aim for my business to be an experience that leaves you with your head in the clouds.
What has been your biggest struggle either in work or life?
Balance. Finding a healthy balance of personal life, building a business, and being social.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I would do everything the same. I would just maybe realize it all a little sooner!
What do you always find yourself saying?
Yes! Sometimes I bite off way more than I can chew!
Tell us your best piece of life advice
Don't take it for granted. If you want the cake, eat the cake. If you have a dream, chase it! Believe in yourself and anything is possible. Also, make sure to take time for the people most important to you in your life.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Ellen Degeneres. She's hilarious and has so much compassion for humans and animals, and is actively making changes in this world. I admire that so much.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
You're supporting someone's passion, their dreams.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Taking the leap and opening my own studio. It was such a terrifying leap into the unknown and I couldn't be more thrilled to have done it.

I can't choose just one person… my family, friends, husband, and my boss ladies! They all support me and keep me moving in the right direction. I'm forever grateful for that!
