What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
There are too many to list… I'll keep those to myself.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
We spent seven heartbreaking years trying to become pregnant, procedures, surgeries, thousands of dollars in medication and pure determination from my husband, family and I. I thought about giving up multiple times and just kept pushing through! I knew I was destined to become a mom one way or another. Finally, our little miracle baby arrived! I try to advocate for other local moms who are going through the same struggles I went through, providing some tips, a shoulder to cry on and just being there when they need me.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
My family and I like to spend our time outdoors. My favourite memories always stem back to our family camping trips.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Working for Interior Savings means we provide local money for local goods. We as a whole contribute and volunteer at many different events throughout the Okanagan each year and seeing all the positive impacts our staff has made is truly incredible. One particular event that I enjoy being apart of is Motionball Marathon of Sport for Special Olympics. I joined the board this year as a Volunteer Director and I couldn't be more happy about it! I love to see how many locals turn out for this event each year, the athlete's faces and all the funds we raise is truly inspiring.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Plastic and straw usage.
Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
The Bush! I love camping off the grid.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
