Meet Ian Fox! The Mississauga native has been living in Victoria since 2016!
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Marissa, my wife, is my absolute favourite person. We connect in every way possible and there is never a moment I want to be alone. We laugh and love everything we do together even it is as simple as sitting outside.
What is your favourite local store in Victoria and why?
Instinct Art and gifts. It is a perfect little spiritual store. It has incense, angel cards, crystals and more! Everything you need to get your healing on.
Describe yourself in one word.
Peaceful.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Anywhere to a cabin in the lush green forests along the north-west coast of British Columbia. I'd love to wander in the peace and wild of the nature up there. Prince Rupert I would have to say. I have the longing to go there. So free!
What is your favourite activity in Victoria?
Walking my dog along the water at Willows Beach.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I once walked into a sign on someone's front lawn in front of a girl I had a crush on.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
A few years ago I went to a Hindu Temple in Richmond Hill, Ontario. I was worried and nervous that I would find it awkward and uncomfortable, which it was at first as I come from a different culture. But as time and the rituals carried on I found I was accepted. Other individuals were extremely welcoming and took me along and showed me their ways. It showed me that different cultures or religions can get along peacefully.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Waking up early on the weekends before my siblings to run to the bake shop and getting a muffin.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Every Christmas my family sponsors another family to help bring Christmas to that home. I also send love and acknowledge everyone who I know need a hand. If I can't physically pass them a gift, I share a kind word and smile.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
The way that money rules the world. It should be a universal law of exchange. A service for food or another service. Exchange, help and kindness. Not greed and the need to have money to survive.
Where would you sneak away to in Victoria to spend some time alone?
To the top of Mount Tolmie.
Where would you like to see positive change in Victoria and why?
More pet-friendly and affordable rental properties. Someone with a large dog I know how tough and challenging that is.
What do you think makes Victoria great?
All the flowers!!
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Having a mountainside ranch in Alaska.
Being successful in my craft, and being able to work from home full time, to be with my family.
To own a farm where all animals are respected and treated with love.
Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I'm pretty shy and sensitive.
How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?
Email – Miraclefoxhealing@gmail.com Facebook. Instagram.
What is the name of your business/organization?
Spirit Fox Healing.
Why did you get into/start this business?
To help others learn their true potential, to awaken other healers and lightworkers who they truly are. To guide and assist others in life.
What is the goal of your business?
To guide and to heal.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Knowing my true potential.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
The same. I have learned many lessons and been through many hardships, which has made me the powerful being I am today.
What do you always find yourself saying?
You got this.
Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Put yourself first.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Dr. Michael Newton. He is an extremely amazing hypnotherapist from California who takes people in between lives to heal issues they are going through now in this life. I would love to hear stories and learn more from him directly as that is a path I wish to take one day.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Absolutely!
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Getting and staying sober for six years this June.
Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Freya, my daughter! Almost six months but I feel I've known you my whole life! Thanks for bringing joy to our lives. You will change many!
