Meet Adrianne! She's from Kamloops and is a proud Mom of her 3 babies: Maison Lucy and Scoopz!

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
I would have to say my kids and husband! Our kids are so full of personality they keep me laughing all day. My husband works out of town so time together is precious.

Jardines and Lizzie Bits. Both high quality shops. Locally owned and operated!
Describe yourself in one word.
DETERMINED
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Greek Islands. I toured a few islands in my early 20’s with my cousin. I would love to experience culture and beauty again one day! But with less vodka.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Right now: Jump 360 and the Wildlife Park
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Too many situations to list! I’ll take it back to high school, flag football, tear-away track pants (because I forgot shorts), joe boxer smiley face undies.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
My 3 year old was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. (For those of you who don’t know, it’s an autoimmune disease where his body has attacked the insulin producing cells located in his pancreas. He now requires constant monitoring and insulin shots. There is no cure yet) He does what needs to be done with no complaints. No child should go through what he goes through. He constantly comes out on top. Despite getting up to 10 needles a day, his spirit remains bright. He’s loving, caring, smart and passionate. He perseveres everyday. He is an inspiration to everyone!
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
My favourite childhood memory is going to Nanaimo every summer to visit my Grandma and cousins. So care free and so fun. I loved everything about it. I cherish those memories.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
- Scoopz has teamed up with New Life Mission and created Cones For The Community. We now have an annual event raising funds for this amazing organization. Scoopz is also happy to be a sponsor of the Kamloops Pride Parade. A new event for our city!
- With my son’s recent diagnosis I am now extremely passionate about everything T1. The JDRF is an important organization to support as they conduct research to improve the lives of people affected by T1. Better treatment, better technology and most importantly- a cure! Scoopz is a sponsor for an event coming up in April 21st, Meet A Machine. A really fun event for all kids!
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
