  • Hwy 3 remains closed between Hope and Princeton after late night crash

While all the attention was turned to the Coquihalla Highway (Hwy 5) last night, Hwy 3 was having issues of its own.

The route closed down shortly before 11 pm due to what DriveBC is calling a “vehicle incident.”

As of 6:30 am, the road remains closed with another update expected around 7 am.

There’s no easy detour, but travellers can take Hwy 5 or Hwy 1 to get into the BC Interior.

However, there remains a travel advisory in place for Hwy 5 and if you can push your travel plans back a day, that may be your best option.

NowMedia will update this story as more information becomes available.
