The Kelowna Rockets were south of the border playing their third game in three days on Sunday as they took on the WHL-leading Everett Silvertips.
After managing a 2-0 lead through 40 minutes, the Rockets were unable to hold on against the Silvertips and fell 3-2 in overtime.

Rockets forward Hiroki Gojsic opened the scoring a little more than 11 minutes into the game after he grabbed the puck out of the air, brought it down and slid it through Anders Miller’s five-hole.
With the help of an Everett penalty, the Rockets doubled their lead in the second period on Kalder Varga’s fifth goal of the year.
Up 2-0 in the third period, the Rockets saw their lead cut in half in the opening minute of the frame after Cole Temple scored on a power play.
The Rockets then stood their ground until the Silvertips pulled their goalie and Carter Bear tied the game at the 19:17 mark, eventually forcing overtime, where the ‘Tips completed their comeback to win 3-2.
The Okanagan squad is back in action against the Edmonton Oil Kings at Prospera Place on Wednesday.
