The Vees got a pair of goals each from Louis Wehmann and Brady Birnie, with the latter adding an assist for a three-point night.

Shane Smith had that same two-goal, one-assist stat line for Kelowna, while Hiroki Gojsic provided three helpers and Carson Wetsch had a pair of assists.

Hayden Paupanekis had the other multi-point night for the Rockets with one of each and Levi Benson had the other goal for the home side.

Harrison Boettiger stopped 30 of 35 shots sent his way in a losing cause, while Andrew Reyelts secured the Vees win with 27 saves on the night.

The Rockets will kick off 2026 against the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, Jan. 2, which will close out Kelowna’s three-game homestand.
