More road hell in the BC Interior today.
Environment Canada has issued a yellow alert for the Coquihalla Highway, Hwy 1, the Okanagan Connector and Hwy 3.
It said heavy snow is expected to continue to fall on the roads, with about 30 centimetres already recorded on some of the roads and another 10 to 15 cm on the way.
On the Connector, up to 15 cm has already fallen and another two to four are on tap.
That will be accompanied by gusts of up to 90 kilometres an hour.
Along Hwy 1, meanwhile, about 15 cm has fallen already, with as much as 10 more expected.

Concerning Hwy 3, the forecaster said in its warning: “Over Allison Pass, approximately 5 cm has already fallen with a further 5 to 10 cm expected before the snow eases this morning.
“In addition, wind gusts are expected to pick up this morning, with gusts ranging up to 70 km/h which could lead to local blowing snow along the routes.”
It warned of reduced visibility and roads that could become difficult to navigate.
Separately, Environment Canada has released a weather statement for most of the BC Interior due to strong winds.

“A vigorous cold front will move across the BC interior this morning,” the statement reads. “In its wake, strong westerly wind gusts will develop over parts of these regions. These strong winds may lead to possible tree damages, local power outages and travel delays.”
The winds are set to ease later in the morning, however.
