On July 12, the Prince George RCMP located and arrested three people as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

A loaded handgun was found hidden in a cereal box on scene, outside a mall on Massey Drive.

The arrests led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence on the 2200 block of Queensway.

During the search, RCMP seized cocaine, methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and three long guns including one that was confirmed to be stolen.

A 23-year-old female was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime and weapons-related offences. She was later released with a promise to appear in court on Dec. 5.

The 30-year-old and 27-year-old males were arrested on scene and were later released pending further investigation.

All three individuals were previously known to the police and are believed to play a significant role in the local drug trade.
